It all started with crayons and coloring books. I stayed within the lines before discovering it was more fun coloring outside of them. I soon graduated to pencils and notebook paper. Instead of doing math homework, I was drawing my favorite Nike sneakers or Wolverine fighting ninjas. From there, it was only a matter of time before I discovered pen and ink. But, that wasn't enough. I wanted more. I found solace between the brush strokes of paint and texture of freshly stretched canvas. Galleries welcomed me. Periodicals took a few photos. Things were falling into place. It was around this time that I discovered the pixel. The computer allowed me to rediscover my love for the pencil, the pen and the paintbrush. I can apply all I have learned to my work. My journey remains unfinished. There is always another way to fill a blank page. I remain vigilant.
